Radon Testing and FAQ
WHAT IS RADON?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas. Radon is colorless, oderless and tasteless. Radon is produced by the decay of uranium in the rock, soil and water below your home.
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH IMPACTS OF RADON TO YOU?
Radon and Radon Decay Products are inhaled in to your lungs. As radon gas decays it releases small bursts of energy that can damage lung tissue. The Environmental Protection Agency states that Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, after smoking, in the United States.

WHAT DO I DO IF THE RADON TEST RESULTS ARE ABOVE THE RECOMMENDED LEVEL?
Fix your home if your radon level is confirmed to be 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher. Radon reduction systems work.
